Marshmallow Pie

By December 30, 2016 No Comments

As we were shopping for some stuff for a holiday party, I let Zula choose out some ingredients for her own personal contribution. We had to bring some desserts and so she chose a graham cracker crust, pink strawberry pudding, and colored marshmallows. She was ecstatic.

She mixed the pudding, put it in. Added some whipped cream. And then – oh my goodness – got to decorate the top with the colored marshmallows. One for the pie, one for Zu, one for the pie…

I think one of the best parts about having a mom in a wheelchair is that you can be faster and more agile than her so you can do all your own stuff and she doesn’t “help” you a lot. Little Zula made this pie practically all by herself!

So, for those of you who’d like to make this, here is the recipe:

1 graham cracker crust

1 box of strawberry pudding, made to pie directions

2 bananas

Cool whip

Colored miniature marshmallows.

Directions: Cut bananas in slices, layer in bottom. Make pudding. Smooth over bananas. Top with cool whip. Add marshmallows. Bring to party and watch the kids go crazy! It was a favorite for all small children.

PS: It’s gross.
